Procurement diagnosis

A procurement diagnosis or baseline assessment is the starting point of a procurement improvement project, to understand the current situation of a procurement organisation. According to the Emeritor models and / or the MSU model this diagnosis includes a financial- and a qualitative analysis.
The objective of the procurement diagnosis is providing insight, identifying the current situation, setting objectives and improvement potential and how to get there. In this improvement plan Emeritor makes recommendations on int. al.:

  • The procurement function;
  • Human Resources;
  • Procurement policy;
  • Objectives and improvement potential;
  • Potential of automating procurement processes and safeguarding in the organisation;
  • Approach and strategy for procurement packages and vendor management;
  • The business case.

The duration of such a diagnosis is generally three to four weeks.
